Political But Not Argumentative

Hey Everyone!

Shame on me! I didn’t post yesterday, and not for a great reason haha. I stayed up into the wee hours of the night watching the election results and called off work the next morning. I was in a trance of sorts, with a whirlwind of thoughts through out the process. I voted in the early morning Tuesday, and was in a a lull at work knowing that something much bigger was going on throughout the United States. Once I got home I was anxious waiting for the polls to close. I at this point ran through the campaigns of the main candidates, to reassure myself that my vote was what I wanted. Once the polls of the east coast closed I found myself staring at the black state map without it changing for hours. Once the results finally did come in I watched all the news stations from ABC-NBC. It was a very close race throughout and not until about midnight to one o’clock in the morning did it become clear that there was no way Donald Trump would lose. Later in the day we learned that Hillary took the popular vote but not by a lot, while Donald did indeed take the electoral college. This making him the next Commander in Chief. Here is a country photo depicting the county results of that night:

It is and has mostly always been clear, that places where media runs rampant contain individuals more democratic, where as on the outskirts you have a whole other population living in seemingly a different world. It is hard to think that the people of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania have completely different views and lifestyles than every other county surrounding it. Different worlds entirely. I will say that there is no “One right way” to run and govern a country. It is just not possible. Right now there are people rejoicing the win and people being torn apart by it. People are saying that minorities of race, religion, and gender will be left behind after all the progress that has been made in the past 8 years.ย  To be honest that just isn’t true. Sure they are in shock now, but in his own speech he defended the rights of those people the night he won. He may have grown up with “old world’ view and that may not be something that ever goes away. But this is something that he has acknowledged and seemingly won’t let that get in the way of governing the country as a whole. We have to remember here that we are 1 country in a world of countries. There are bigger fish to fry than who identifies as what. I personally am open about peace among everyone no matter what, and it would be great if everyone was as well. That clearly isn’t the case and never has been, but we together can strive for more equality no matter who the figure head is. He is one person with a veteran team of political experts behind him. Don’t act like the country will be instantly flipped on it’s head. The end game is that we need a country to be ran like a business and that is what I think Donald Trump will do. A good business looks out for it’s employees big and small. A good business builds bonds that last a lifetime. A good business grows in all areas. He will not spend any free time working to revoke any American’s rights. He will make sure that we are protected, all while making it known that we are still a country that people shouldn’t mess with. He will work on growth of this county as a whole, over the course of the next four years. A vote for Donald Trump was a vote for change like we haven’t seen in a long time. We have had Republican and Democratic Presidents that were just more of the same for years and it seems to be a time to try something new. Clearly that is what America thought as well. You can argue all you want over little things and most of us will at some point, but the big picture still remains.

I know this post isn’t like normal. I know this post doesn’t cover absolutely everything about the election or the views of both candidates. These were just thoughts popping into my mind as I was writing them. I have had a lot on my mind during this whole thing and now part of those things have spilled onto this canvas. This isn’t a post to start riots, or to offend anyone. I am optimistic for our future and hope that once things settle down good changes will be made and in some instances that good changes from the past will be kept.

Thank you for reading, I’m sorry if this wasn’t what you were looking for. I hope you all have a great rest of the week and I’ll be posting my normal content tomorrow. Enjoy your day! ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€
